Veterinary Surgeon

We have some exciting changes happening in our clinic including expansion, with 3 vets on site per day (previously 2). One of our vets has just started a certificate in feline medicine and we are purchasing a new ultrasound and handheld dental x-ray unit early this year! We are very proud of our management at the clinic with our incredible Practice Manager being the leading force behind this. Michelle works very efficiently and has been at Oaks since 1995. Everyone’s well-being is at the forefront of Michelle’s mind and she will always be there to listen and make changes that are beneficial to staff, patients, and the running of the clinic. Our fantastic boss, Rebecca, has over 27 years experience and has been at Oaks for over 13 years. Rebecca has a special interest in rabbits and small furries and is an excellent medic and surgeon. Rebecca is very supportive of all the staff and is always approachable for any discussions. We have a fantastic client base and a great relationship with our clients and patients alike.

The vet position will be a mix of consults and surgery. We are a very busy clinic so efficiency and confidence in both is required. The nursing position can be tailored to your strengths and we use our nurses for consulting, care of inpatients, anaesthesia and procedures as well as insurance claims and some reception duties. We keep the majority of our orthopedic surgery on-site with a mobile orthopedic vet attending for these surgeries.
